Women's Basketball to face Georgia C&SU in regional
Catawba's women drew the #7-seed for next weekend's NCAA II South Atlantic Regional which will be hosted by Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. The Lady Indians will face Georgia College and State University in the opening round. Catawba fell to the Bobcats 76-67 back in November. Exact dates and times will be announced on Monday.This will mark the third trip to the regionals for the Catawba women. The Lady Indians fell to Francis Marion in the semifinals in 2001 and lost to Fayetteville State in the opening round last season. Other first round games this year will see top-seed and host Shaw take on #8-seed Augusta State, #3-seed Lander will face #6-Virginia Union and #4-seed North Florida, the defending regional champ, will take on #5-seed Armstrong Atlantic. #####RELATED LINKS
