Women's Lacrosse Rolls Past Coker

Coker scored the first and last goals in the first period, but the Lady Indians scored four times in between that to take a 4-2 advantage into the second. Caroline Falcone and Isabella Lehr scored on free position shots while Mercedez Boucicaut and Colleen Green scored unassisted goals.
Catawba had one of their highest scoring quarters of the year after the team netted seven goals in the second quarter. Four different players scored including Colleen Green who went on a tear with four of the seven goals before halftime. At the break, Catawba led 11-5.
Ella McCusker scored the lone goal for the Lady Indians in the third quarter, but Aaryn Dorr made four saves and limited the Cobras to two goal in the period to keep the lead intact. Heading to the fourth, CatU had a 12-7 lead.
In the final fifteen minutes, Catawba imposed their will and outscored Coker 5-2 to close out the game. Mercedez Boucicaut scored two more times giving her four goals in the game. Joey Baillie added her second of the game, Falcone scored her third, and Colleen Green netted her sixth goal of the contest to secure the 17-9 win.
The team will look to keep that momentum rolling into their final home game of the season this Saturday. Catawba will hold their Senior Day against Tusculum with the game starting at 1:00 p.m.
