Time will tell how successful our 2004 team can become, but we feel this may be one of our better recruiting classes in the past few years.” Brown, a 5-8, 130 forward/midfielder, was a two-year starter at Williams High School. He was a two-time all-conference and all-region performer, scoring 24 goals with 12 assists as a senior. Brown was a two-time Junior/Senior Soccer Showcase selection. He helped the Bulldogs to the 2001 state final. Castaneda, a 6-1, 170 midfielder/defender, was a two-year starter at Reagan High School. He was an all-district performer, helping Reagan to a 32-4-5 record over his career and the 2002 5A State Championship. Castaneda was a Texas ODP member and was a member of the South Texas All-Star Team. Denton, a 5-8, 150 midfielder, was a two-year starter at Robinson High School. McCornack, a 6-3, 175 midfielder/defender, started three years at Central Cabarrus High School. He earned all-conference honors as a senior, scoring 10 goals with 10 assists. McCormack helped Vikings to a 15-5 mark as a senior and two three state playoff berths. He was a member of the North Carolina ODP team. Turnbull, is a 5-10, 160 forward from St. Bede’s High School. He earned the National Youth “Golden Boot” Award in 2002. He was a member of the Cantebury United National Youth Team and played in the National Youth League.
