Women's Soccer takes 5-0 decision over LMUSALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College, ranked 14th in NCAA II, picked up a 5-0 shutout of visiting Lincoln Memorial in womens soccer action on Saturday night at Frock Field. The Lady Indians improve to 14-1-2 overall, while LMU falls to 11-3-1. Catawba built a 4-0 lead at the break, wasting little time in getting on the board as Kyley Thompson (Hagerstown, MD) tallied in the fifth minute. Kim Crowley (Glendale, AZ) scored from 35 yards out in the 21st minute and Leigh Telzrow (Dallas, TX) scored off a Crowley free kick in the 36th minute. The Lady Indians closed out the first half as Thompson netted her second of the night and 10th of the season on a cross from Ashley Boles (Ft. Bragg, NC). Thompson and Telzrow would get an assist on the final tally which came off the foot of freshman Paige Harrington (Albemarle, NC), who collected her 14th goal on the season. Catawba held an 18-7 edge in shots with Cathrine Balentine (Charlotte, NC) making one save in earning her sixth clean sheet of the season.
