The Knights made it a 3-1 game in the seventh as Cliff Allred (Franklinville, NC) picked up his second hit of the contest with an RBI-single, scoring Will Clark (Laurinburg, NC) who reached on a one-out base hit. SAPC tried to mount a comeback in the eighth with runners and second and third with two out, but Tribe reliever Tim Smith (Walnut Cove, NC) struck-out Clark to end the threat. Matt Smith (Browns Summitt, NC) led off the eighth with a double to center, while Davis followed with a two-run opposite field blast, giving the Indians the final margin of 5-1.
