Men's Soccer falls to Pfeiffer in overtimeBrad Sisk (Pfafftown, NC) scored with under two minutes remaining in the second Overtime to give host Pfeiffer a 2-1 win over 20th-ranked Catawba in menís soccer action on Wednesday afternoon. Pfeiffer improves to 1-1, while the Indians fall to 1-1. Nathan Zuzga (Troy, MI) put Catawba on top 1-0, but David Sheridan (Hanover, MD) kept Pfeiffer in it with several key saves. Pfeiffer got the equalizer with eight minutes remaining on a goal by Michael Sobolewski (Webster, NY). Both teams fought hard in the overtimes. Mark Nerkowski (Czestochwu, Poland) nearly ended it in the first overtime for Pfeiffer when he beat the goalie, but Ryan Villiard (Holiday, FL) came in at the last second and cleared the ball off the line. Sisk scored off a cross from Scott Slusher (Monroe, NC) to end the match. Catawba outshot Pfeiffer 10-4. #####
