Hampton, Rhoades spark 24-hit attack in DH split with Pfeiffer

Catawba fell behind 1-0 in the opener, but got RBI singles from Jessie Whitesides (Yadkinville, NC) and Amanda Mitchell (Huntingtown, MD) in the fourth to grab a one-run lead.  Pfeiffer tied the game in the fourth and took a 4-2 lead on Dacia Ijames two-run homer in the sixth.

The Lady Indians rallied with two outs in the seventh.  Jenn Mehl (West Creek, NJ) cut the lead to 4-3 on a pinch-hit RBI double and Ashlee Rhoades (China Grove, NC) gave Catawba a 5-4 lead with a two-run double.  Jacqueline White (Mt. Ulla, NC) also singled home a run in the five-run frame.
