Women's Tennis falls to Tusculum in SAC Tournament semisKNOXVILLE, TN – Third-seeded Catawba fell to Tusculum 5-1 in a semifinal match of the 2006 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Women’s Tennis Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The second-seeded Pioneers improve to 17-6 and advance to face top-seeded Presbyterian in the final. Catawba falls to 14-11.
Tusculum grabbed an early 3-0 lead as the Pioneers swept doubles play. Lauren Fluegge picked up the lone point for the Lady Indians at #1 singles when Claudia Boliver had to retire after dropping the opening set.
