Men's Soccer rebounds from loss to pound Charleston,WV

SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba got goals from six different players in a 6-0 win over visiting Charleston, WV, in men’s soccer action on Friday night at Frock Field.

Catawba, ranked 15th in NCAA II, improve to 2-1, while the Eagles fall to 1-2-1. Junior Nathan Brown (Huntersville, NC) scored just under three minutes into the contest and Catawba never looked back. Senior Nathan Zuzga (Troy, MI) followed up with his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 12th minute to give the Tribe a 2-0 lead at the break. Catawba scored a pair of goals less than 30 seconds apart just five minutes into the final half to help the Tribe pull away.

Freshmen Andrew Landry (Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA) and Kyle Jones (Tallahassee, FL) had the goals.

Troy Brown (Burlington, NC) and Garth McCormack (Charlotte, NC) finalized the scoring. Will McElheny (Norwood, NC) and Tyler Held (Virginia Beach, VA) combined for the shutout, each playing a half. Held had the only save as the Eagles were limited to just two shots.
