Football falls just short in 21-14 loss to #18 Newberry
NEWBERRY, SC – Newberry’s Alex Haynes scored from two-yards out with 1:49 to play as the 18th-ranked Indians held off an upset bid from visiting Catawba for a 21-14 win in South Atlantic Conference football action on Saturday night at Setzler Field.

Haynes ran for two big gains to the 16-yard line which was followed by a pass interference call in the end zone. Haynes scored on the next play for the winning score.
