Men's Soccer gets bid to NCAA Appalachain RegionalThe Catawba College men's soccer team will make its third straight trip to the NCAA II Appalachian Region Tournament. The Tribe was one of four teams selected on Monday to compete this weekend. Catawba, the fourth-seed, will tangle with host and top-seed Lenoir-Rhyne on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. Carson-Newman and Lincoln Memorial will play at 10 a.m.Catawba (11-8) finished the year strong, rebounding from a five-match losing streak to win three of last four matches. Catawba lost to then second-ranked Carson-Newman in the semifinals of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament. Lenoir-Rhyne would win the league tournament and took the top seed.
Ticket prices are $4 for adults, $2 for students with I.D. and $1 for children 12 and under. The championship match will be Saturday at 1 p.m.
