Hester to conduct Football 101 Class for womenCatawba College first-year head coach Chip Hester in conjunction with the Salisbury Parks and Recreation Department will conduct “Football 101: For Women Only” on Thursday, January 31 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Salisbury Civic Center. The class is being held prior to the Super Bowl and will cost $5 for City residents and $10 for county residents.Coach Hester will show some Catawba game film and break down the game into bite sized pieces to help better understand the game. The class is limited to the first 30 ladies who sign up. Refreshments will be served during the class. To register call 704-638-5275. Hester is beginning his first season as the head coach at Catawba after serving for an assistant for seven years. He became the Tribe head coach in December following the departure of David Bennett. Hester has coached wide receivers at Catawba and has also been the recruiting coordinator. #####
