SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba rallied from a six-run deficit to defeat visiting 10-6 Pfeiffer in baseball action on Tuesday night at Newman Park. The Catawba Indians improve to 24-12, while the Falcons fall to 18-18.
Bryan Braxton (Hillsborough, NC) put Pfeiffer on the board with a solo homer in the first then the Falcons scored five times in the third. Ryan Brown (Concord, NC) had a RBI double and Kyle Pugh (Asheboro, NC) a RBI single before Zack Pou (Stanley, NC) hit a three-run homer for the early 6-0 edge.
Zach Strickland (Liberty, NC) held Catawba to just two hits over the first five innings, but the Indians began their rally in the sixth.
