Harmon and Babos Earn All-SAC Honors in Women's Golf
ROCK HILL, SC -- Catawba’s Jaynelle Harmon (Cranberry, PA) was named first team, while freshman Kelsey Babos (Uniontown, OH) was selected to the second team of the 2007 South Atlantic Conference Women’s Golf All-Conference Teams. It was announced Thursday by the league office.
Harmon, a former standout at Cranberry High School, holds a team-best 79.4 stroke average through seven tournaments this season. She shot her career-low round of 71 during the Hargett Memoral where she claimed medalist honors for the first time in her career. She has been the Lady Indians’ top finisher in the last four tournaments.
Babos, who starred at Lake High School, has posted a 79.8 stroke average over eight tournaments. The freshman was the teams top finisher in three of the opening four tournaments of the year. She fired her low round of 71 at the Laker Fall Classic and finished third. She had three top five finishes in the fall season.
