2008 Football Schedule Announced
Catawba has released its 2008 football schedule, which will have the Indians play five games at home at Shuford Stadium and Kirkland Field. The Tribe will open the season at home under the lights on August 30th in a first-ever meeting with St. Augustine’s. Catawba will then see Elizabeth City State make a its first trip to Salisbury for a night game on Sept. 6.
Catawba will head a little over a mile the following week to face Livingstone for the annual Mayor’s Cup contest. A week off will precede the conference opener at Mars Hill and another SAC road game at Newberry will follow before the Indians return home to face Carson-Newman and Tusculum. The schedule concludes with a home game against the newest league member Brevard and a trip to Hickory to close the regular season at Lenoir-Rhyne.
