Men's Tennis Adds Additional Three Recruits For Upcoming Season
SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College tennis coach, Jeff Childress, has announced three additional signees for the upcoming men’s tennis season. Joining the squad for 2008-09 will be Matt King, of Concord, NSW, Australia, Cory Kluttz, of China Grove, NC, and Jan Roguska, of Derby, England.
King played the No. 1 position at Sydney Boys High School where he earned zone and area honors. He helped his team to the Jones Cup title and also a U-16 championship. King also earned letters in swimming, athletics, cross country and golf.
Kluttz played four years, two at South Rowan High School and the final two at Carson High School. He was a two-time all-county selection and was all-conference as a senior. He was named his teams most outstanding at Carson as a junior. Kluttz was a four-time scholar athlete.
Roguska attended Chellaston High School and played tennis with the David Lloyd Derby Club. He was a member of the 2007 Derbyshire Division I League Champions and also qualified for the national division in 2008.
