LMU overcame a 13-9 deficit to grab the opening set.  Tied at 22-all, Horenkamp delivered a kill and Alison Hess (Dayton, OH) an ace for a 24-22 edge.  After kill by Powers, a Catawba service error provided the set point.  Catawba pulled away late in set two.  Leading 13-12, a Powers kill started a four-point run and the senior later had an ace in a run that put the Lady Indians up 20-13.  Powers had the kill for set point.

The Lady Railsplitters scored the final three points to grab a tight set three.  Horenkamp had a kill and a combo block with Kodi Cartwright (Layton, UT) for a 24-22 edge before an attack error led to the set point.  Another tight set followed with Knight killing off a point for an 18-17 LMU lead it never lost.  Powers got Catawba within 22-21, but two kills by Cartwright got LMU to the set point which was killed off by Candace Richardson (Houston, TX).
