Cuthbertson Paces Football To Win Over Brevard
SALISBURY, NC -- Senior Jamelle Cuthbertson (Charlotte, NC/Harding HS) ran for 156 yards and two scores to lead Catawba to a 24-10 win over visiting Brevard in South Atlantic Conference football action on Saturday afternoon at Shuford Stadium and Kirkland Field. Brevard got on the board with 10:05 remaining as Desmond Wilson (Mt. Holly, NC) capped a nine-play, 45-yard drive with a three-yard-run. The Tornados would get the ball back twice, but had possessions end on fumbles caused by Marqus Davis (Charlotte, NC/N. Mecklenburg HS) and Terrence Porter (Roanoke Rapids, NC/Roanoke Rapids HS).
