Women's Tennis Rolls to 9-0 Opening Win Over Belmont Abbey

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Catawba rolled to a 9-0 win over Belmont Abbey to open the season in women’s tennis action on Monday at Hornet’s Nest Park.  The Catawba Indians did not loose a set and dropped only nine games in singles action. 

Steffi Cook (Alpharetta, GA/Milton HS) won at #1 singles, while Jen Denyes (Brandenton, FL/St. Stephens Episcopal HS) and Kasia Zielinski (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) won on the court in both singles and doubles action.  Denyes and Zielinski won 9-7 at #1 doubles.
