(10/21/09) Tusculum Rallies Past Men's Soccer  GREENEVILLE, TN -- Tusculum rallied from a 2-0 deficit, on Marc Joseph’s goal in the 88th minute, for a 3-2 win over visiting Catawba in South Atlantic Conference men’s soccer action on Wednesday night at Pioneer Field. The Pioneers improve to 8-3-1 overall and 4-2 in the SAC, while the Catawba Indians fall to 4-10-1 and 0-6-1. Catawba grabbed a 2-0 lead midway through the first half on goals less than four minutes apart. Andrew Landry (Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA/Donevan Institute) stole a back pass to the keeper and notched his team leading eighth goal in the 23rd minute. Freshman Carson Smith (Mooresville, NC/Mooresville HS) put the Indians up 2-0 in the 26th minute, taking a cross from Mark Ketterer (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert HS) and scoring just inside the post. Tusculum got one goal back before the half. Joseph scored the first of his two goals in the 35th minute, taking a cross just outside the goalie box. The Pioneers tied the match five minutes into the second half on a volley from Andres Jarquin off a pass from Lucas Paulini. Joseph took a through ball from Andra Shelton and scored the game-winner. The Pioneers held a decided 29-6 edge in shots and took all 10 corners in the match. Tyler Held (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam HS) stopped seven shots for Catawba.
