Men's Tennis falls in semifinals to top-seeded Tusculum

CLINTON, SC Ė Top-seeded Tusculum College swept three doubles matches and went on to defeat fourth-seeded Catawba 5-1 in the semifinals of the 2002 South Atlantic Conference Menís Tennis Tournament on Friday morning. The event is a part of the 2002 SAC Sports Festival and is being held at the Callaway Courts at Presbyterian College. Tusculum improves to 17-1, while Catawba falls to 14-10. Both teams should advance to NCAA II regional play. Johnathan Dunstan and Jess Puckerin got a late break to defeat Evan Bowling and Allen Klimesh at #1 doubles to complete the opening three points. Both Dunstan and Puckerin won their singles matches for the winning points. Pat Parr scored the lone point for the Indians at #5 with a 7-6, 6-1 win over Alejandro Rojas.
