INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Catawba earned its at-large bid to the NCAA II Southeast Regional and joins the field of 64 teams in the march to the Elite Eight, announced by the NCAA late Sunday night.  The regional will once again be hosted by Augusta State University at Christenberry Arena.   The Catawba Indians (20-10) will be the fourth-seed in the regional and are making their fourth straight trip to the regionals and sixth in the last seven years.  Catawba joins Wingate (1999-02) as the only SAC men’s teams to make the regional four straight years.

Catawba will get a look at the newest South Atlantic Conference member, as the Indians will face Anderson, who will join the league beginning next season, in its opening game.  The Trojans (23-7) advanced to the Conference Carolinas championship game before falling to Mount Olive, who earned the #2-seed.
