Soccer Announces Summer Camp Dates

Catawba College has announced the dates for its summer soccer camps.  The staffs of the Catawba men’s and women’s programs will have three dates for individual camps plus a boy’s high school pre-season camp.  Half-day camps are available from June 13-17 and June 27 to July 1 with an optional full-day camp on later date.  A senior camp will be offered from July 18-22 as either an extended day or a residential camp.  Contact the Catawba Soccer Office at 704-637-4348 or email men’s head coach Liam Farrell (lfarrell@catawba.edu) for more information.

The initial half-day camp from June 13-17 will run from 9 am to 12:30 pm for ages 5 to 14 and will cost $105.  The second date from June 27- to July 1 is also the same for half-day campers with the full day running from 9 am to 4 pm at a cost of $190.  These half-day camps are designed to teach soccer fundamentals.  The full day campers will use the skills learned in an afternoon game setting.

The senior camp for ages 14-18 from July 19-22 is designed for more experienced players.  It will run from 9 am to 7 pm and offers the chance to stay on the Catawba campus overnight.  The cost is $235 for extended and $295 for residential.  In addition to being challenged technically, physically and tactically on the game it will also include sessions on fitness, nutrition and the college recruiting process.

The boy’s high school preseason camp is on July 31 is the weekend before the official start date for high school practices.  It is a one-day team camp that allows teams to play in 8v8 and 11v11 game settings.  The cost is $35 per player.

What To Bring?

Half Day and Full Day campers should pack the following items:

  • Sun screen & mosquito repellent

  • Water bottle or cooler

  • Bathing suit

  • Shin guards

  • 1 pair of sneakers & cleats

  • Flip Flops or Sandals

  • Towels

  • 1 rain jacket

  • Optional Snack
