Golf Grabs Four Commitments for 2010-11

SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College golf coach, Sam Gealy, has announced commitments from four student-athletes for the upcoming 2010-11 season.  A pair will join the women’s team in Jana Burkhardt (Willoughby, OH) and Leslie Long (East Bend, NC), while the duo committing to the men’s team is Thomas Bonney (Greensboro, NC) and Cash Green (Williamston, NC).

Burhardt, from Willoughby South High School, was an all-district performer and helped the Rebels to a conference title.  Long, a multi-sport athlete from Forbush High School, was named the 2A Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year. 

Bonney, who played at Southeast Guilford High School, and Green, from Williamston High School,  both had outstanding high school and junior careers.  Both could push for spots in the top five early in the fall.
