Clayton breaks record as Women's Soccer tops Queens

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Catawba College posted a 3-0 shutout over Queens in Charlotte, on Saturday afternoon. Goalkeeper Kim Clayton (Haw River, NC) recorded the shutout and broke the school record with the 23rd in her career. It broke the record previously held by current assistant coach Scherrie Dalton. Catawba improves to 2-0, while Queens falls to 1-2. Catawba got two more goals by Jamie Fink (Woodbrodge, VA) to run her season total to four on the season. Both tallies came early in the second half and each off assists from freshman Kyley Thompson (Hagerstown, MD). Rachel Black (Acworth, GA) scored the other goal with just over 11 minutes to play.
