Join Us for Blue-White Weekend April 1-2, 2011

bluewhite2010

It's been cold and winter seems to last forever! But, spring will soon arrive along with warmer weather and Catawba's 2011 Football Indians will be on display in the annual Blue-White Spring Football Game. The weekend begins on Friday, April 1st at 7pm in the Hayes Field House, where we will offer Ladies Night to our female friends and fans. Our special program will feature Jerry Hester, mother of our Coach Chip. Jerry has written a children's book, Beach Bunnies, and is also a professional artist, with her speciality oil paintings. She will talk about her book and how she came to write it and will also bring some copies to be given away that night.

The second half of Ladies Night will feature Coach Hester's Staff as they answer our questions so we can get to know them a little more in depth. Tippie Miller will once again provide great food for the night as well as some recipes. We'll also have wine and soft drinks for everyone and also some nice door prizes at the conclusion of Ladies Night at around 9 pm. The cost is $5 per person payable by cash or check at the door that night. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Development Office at (704) 637-4394, or by e-mail at gakirkla@catawba.edu.

The Blue-White game will be at a later time than usual, with a start time of 3:30pm on Saturday, April 2nd in Shuford Stadium. Upon conclusion of the scrimmage, Bud's Bodacious will serve his great BBQ and BBQ Chicken in Kirkland Lobby of Goodman Gymnasium. Coach Hester will also be there to talk about the 2011 squad, next fall's schedule and recruiting results to date. Again, reserve your spot for $10 per person for Bud's Bodacious by calling (704) 637-4394 or by e-mail at gakirkla@catawba.edu.

Come join us on both April 1st and 2nd ... you'll be glad you did!
