Catawba led early in part to Moore’s eight points in the first seven and half minutes.  The Indians held a 19-11 edge after a three-pointer by Cameron Lovelace (Cherryville, NC/Cherryville HS/N. Florida) at the 11:13 mark of the opening half.

Lenoir-Rhyne fought back and used a 13-4 run to go up 24-23 on a three-pointer by Davis with just under five minutes left before the break.  The Bears pushed the lead to nine before a late three-pointer by Catawba sent Lenoir-Rhyne to the half with a 34-28 edge.

A layin by Jones gave the Bears their largest lead off the game at 50-35 five minutes into the second half.  Catawba battled back with a 17-4 run to trim the margin to 54-52 on a layup by Moore with 5:35 left.  Catawba twice came within a bucket again in the closing minute, but the Bears made 7-of-8 at the line in the final 30 seconds to secure the win.
