Mills Scores in Women's Lacrosse Season Finale vs. #3 Limestone
GAFFNEY, SC -- Catawba fell to third-ranked Limestone 23-1 to put a cap on its inaugural women’s lacrosse season Friday afternoon at Saints Field. The host Saints improved to 17-1, while the Catawba Indians end up at 2-12 in its first season.
Limestone scored the first nine goals and never looked back. Maia Czarnecki, Chelsea Hargett, Racquel Prager and Sam McCarrick all had two goals. Prager scored just 20 seconds into the game and it was 6-0 after five minutes.
Ebony Mills (Harrison, ME/Oxford Hills HS/Mount Ida) put the Lady Indians on the board at the 16:23 mark of the opening half, but that would be the lone shot on the day for Catawba. Mills also had four ground balls. Limestone had 31 shots, scoring on all 23 on goal.
Prager finished with five goals to lead the Saints. Sarah Oor recorded seven assists. Czarnecki and Gemma Schaefer tallied three goals.
