Graham announced two Swimming additions for 2003-04 season

SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College swimming coach, Betsy Graham, has announced a pair of signings for next season. Joining the Lady Indian swim program are Katherine Fair, of Valdez, Alaska, and Jaimee Park, of Norcross, Georgia. Fair is a four-year swimmer at Valdez High School and was a US Junior National Qualifier. The team MVP set school records in the 100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke and the 50 and 100 freestyle. She twice won the State Championship in the 100 fly and was a four-time state finalist in the 100 breaststroke and 100 fly. Fair also swam three years for the Alaska Western Zone All-Star Team. She was also a catcher for the Buccaneer softball team at Valdez. “Katie will make an immediate impact for us in the breaststroke and fly events,” stated Graham. Park is a three-year letter-winner at Norcross High School, where she is a Georgia All-Star swimmer. She is a team captain this year. In 2000, Park helped the Norcross 400 free relay team to a first place state finish and the 200 free to a second place finish. Each relay swims set school records. “Jaimee will add depth and be a very strong competitor in middle distance freestyle events,” said Graham. #####
