ROCK HILL, SC -- Catawba freshman Carley Tysinger (Lexington, NC/C. Davidson HS) and Wingate senior Alexis Burrell have been named 2013’s first SAC softball weekly awards winners. Burrell was selected as the league’s Player of the Week, while Tysinger earned Pitcher of the Week accolades as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Tysinger opened her collegiate career by allowing just one run in 19 innings pitched last week as Catawba went 3-1.
