Myers Earns Academic Honor for Women's Tennis

McLEAN, VA – Catawba’s Christian Crifasi (Ramseur, NC/E. Randolph HS) and Olivia Myers (Lexington, NC/W. Davidson HS) have earned academic honors as Capital One All-District selections.  Crifasi earned honors in men’s cross country, while Myers was honored in women’s cross country and the at-large team with women’s tennis.

Crifasi, who was the SAC Scholar Athlete in cross country, graduated with a 3.65 grade point average as a business administration major.  The senior ran to all-conference honors in each of his four years and was the 2009 SAC Freshman of the Year.  Crifasi was a three-time Dean’s List student and also made the Presidential Honor Roll.  He won eight of his 32 career races with 18 top five finishes.

Myers, a junior, has posted a 3.97 GPA as a biology major.  She is four-time member of the Dean’s List and has twice made the Presidential Honor Roll.  She is a three-time team MVP in cross country, winning one in 2012 and posting four top ten finishes.  In tennis, Myers was 14-9 in singles and went 2-0 in doubles.
