Just follow the rules and guidelines below and good luck.
CATAWBA WOMEN’S SOCCER 1,000TH GOAL CONTEST
THE CATAWBA WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM STARTED THE SEASON JUST 27 GOALS AWAY FROM SCORING #1,000 IN SCHOOL HISTORY. ONE LUCKY FAN WILL CLAIM A $100 VISA GIFT CARD, IF THEY CAN CORRECTLY PREDICT WHICH PLAYER WILL SCORE THAT MILESTONE GOAL.
ENTRIES ARE LIMITED TO ONE PER PERSON. IF THERE IS A SECOND ENTRY BY THE SAME PERSON ONLY THE INITIAL ENTRY WILL COUNT.
HOW TO ENTER: There are several ways to enter the contest and entries will be taken from August 30, 2013 through October 31, 2013 unless the team reaches the 1,000th goal prior to that date in which case the entries would end prior to kickoff of that match. You may enter the contest in one (1) of two (2) ways: at the match or by email. No other method of entry will be accepted. Limit one (1) entry per person/email address, regardless of method of entry. Additional entries beyond the specified limit will be void.
1. At the Match: During the women’s soccer home matches, an entry box will be located at the main entrance to Frock Field near the Hayes Fieldhouse. Complete the entry form that will be provided and place it in the box provided.
2. Email Method: If you are not able to attend a match in person, you may enter the contest by email. Send an email to: email@example.com. Each email must include the name of the player you think will score the 1,000th goal and in which game for tiebreaker purposes. Email entries must also include your name, address and phone number to be reached. In the case the 1,000th goal is scored before October 31, 2013 entries would have to be received before kickoff of the match the goal is scored in.
ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to anyone. Members of the Catawba Women’s Soccer team or coaches of the team are not eligible to participate or win the prize.
PRIZE CONDITIONS: The winner of the prize will be the entry that has correctly predicted the player who scores the 1,000th goal. If more than one person has picked the correct player then the entry that also correctly predicted the game in which the player would score the goal would win. If there is more than one entry to correctly pick the player and the game, a random drawing will be held with those entries to select the winner. If Catawba fails to reach the 1,000 goal mark this season then a random drawing of all entrants will be held to determine a winner.
NOTIFICATION: The winner will be notified at the conclusion of the contest.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY/PUBLICITY RELEASE: By participating in the contest and submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to (i) be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements, and (ii) waive any and all claims against Catawba College. By entering this contest, each entrant gives his/her express permission to be contacted by Catawba by telephone or email and/or postal mail for contest purposes. The winner, by acceptance of the prize, grants to Catawba the right to publicize such Winner’s name, address (city and state of residence), and prize information for advertising, promotional, trade and/or any other purpose in any media or format now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without limitation and without further compensation, consideration, permission or notification, unless prohibited by law.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, lost, misrouted, delayed, or undelivered entries due to unavailable network, cable, satellite, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), wireless network, website, or other connections including those through and/or by any website, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cable or wireless transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; wireless service congestion; failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines or telephone systems, wireless towers or cellular tower equipment; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in wireless or other transmission, processing, or communication; non-delivery; misdirected, blocked, or delayed email notifications; printing, typographical or other errors appearing within these Official Rules, in any contest-related advertisements or other materials; or any other errors, problems or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, network, computer, telephone, wireless service, mail, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the contest or the processing of entries.
