Kennedy Finishes 3rd at Tusculum Fall Classic, Catawba 8th
GREENEVILLE, TN -- The Catawba women’s golf team wrapped up the Tusculum Fall Classic on Tuesday afternoon finishing in eighth place out of the eleven teams that participated. Tusculum College hosted the tournament at the 5,805-yard, par-72 Link Hills Country Club. UNC Pembroke won the team total with a score of 607. Catawba finished with a 657.
Madison Kennedy (Salisbury, NC/Salisbury HS) led all Lady Indians with a score of 151 for a third place finish. Kennedy turned in a day two score of 72 to equal her previous career low round. Leslie Long (East Bend, NC/Forbush HS) also finished in the top 20 with an 18th place score of 158. King University’s Elizabeth Swallow took medalist honors with a two day score of 147.
The women will return to action on Monday, October 7th at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University in Myrtle Beach, SC.
