Catawba Too Much for Belmont Abbey Winning 3-1
SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College’s onslaught of attacks was too much to handle for visiting Belmont Abbey in men’s soccer action on Wednesday night at Frock Field as the Catawba Indians won 3-1. With the win Catawba improves to 7-3-1 on the season while the Crusaders fall to 4-8.

In the second half, Corey Faughnan (Jacksonville, NC/Jacksonville HS) would add a second goal to Catawba’s tally.
Belmont Abbey’s Clay Dimick would respond in the 71st minute to bring the score back to 2-1 in favor of Catawba.
Adam Kurdi (Chapel Hill, NC/E. Chapel Hill HS) would put the game out of reach for the Crusaders after connecting with a Domhnall Minogue (Greystones, IRELAND/Presentation) longball in the 84th minute.
