Catawba Finishes in 13th at Flagler Fall Slam
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL -- The Catawba College women’s golf team finished in 13th position on Tuesday at the Flagler Fall Slam hosted by Flagler University. Fourteen teams competed in the two day tournament at the 6,062-yard, par-72 Marsh Creek Country Club. Barry University won the team awards with a total score of 598. Catawba finished with a 710.
Madison Kennedy led the Lady Indians with a two-day score of 155 to finish in 15th position. Leslie Long was the next highest Catawba finisher with a 48th place 169. Flagler’s Marie Santacroce took medalist honors with a one over 145. Santacroce beat out Barry’s Maria Paola Florio by just one stroke.
The tournament concludes the fall season for the Lady Indians. Catawba will kick off the spring season on February 9th and 10th returning to St. Augustine, FL for the World Golf Invitational.
