Women's Tennis Adds Signee for 2014-15 Season

SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College tennis coach, Jeff Childress, has announced the signing of Kristen Rocko (Johns Creek, GA) to a national letter-of-intent for the 2014-15 season.  Childress graduates just two players from this year’s women’s team and only one player on the men’s side.

Rocko, a standout at Pinecrest Academy, has been a three-year starter and plays No. 1 singles for the Paladins.  Entering her senior season, Rocko has compiled a 27-13 singles record and has been named team MVP each of her previous three years.

Last year, Rocko was an all-region selection.  She currently ranks 41st in Georgia USTA Girls U18.  She has won nine USTA Georgia Level 4 Girls U18 Tournaments in the past two years.  Rocko has a total of 29 wins dating back to 2006 in the USTA Georgia Level 4 Tournaments, compiling a 337-171 record.
