SALISBURY, NC – Following the Wingate Fall Frenzy both Catawba College swim teams are now nationally ranked in NCAA-II according to collegeswimming.com.  The Catawba men are also ranked in the top-25 by the NCAA.

For the men, Catawba is currently ranked in 12th by collegeswimming.com.  In NCAA polls the men moved up two spots into 18th position.  The Lady Indians are currently unranked by the NCAA but in 19th position by collegeswimming.com polls.

During the Fall Frenzy Catawba’s Dominic Brus broke the school record in the 200-yard backstroke and qualified for an NCAA-II B-cut on the race.  Two women’s relay records were also broken during the event.

Catawba will look to improve on these rankings in their next meet on January 18th as they travel to Lenoir-Rhyne for a dual meet.
