No. 14: Tyrece Little sets Men’s Basketball record with nine blocked shots
Tyrece Little broke his own school record with nine blocked shots in a 77-67 loss to Queens at Goodman Gym on Feb. 5, 2014. Little had previously blocked eight shots as a freshman in 2012.
Against Queens, Little was a defensive force in the opening half with seven of his blocks coming in the first 20 minutes. He blocked his first shot a minute into the game and had three rejections before the first media time out.
Little tied the record with a block early in the second half and eventually broke the record with 1:03 remaining in the contest.
In addition to his nine blocks, Little scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He also dished out three assists and posted a pair of steals.
