Indians Record Scoreless Tie Against Lenoir-Rhyne
HICKORY, N.C. -- Double overtime was not enough to decide the match between Catawba College and Lenoir-Rhyne that ended scoreless in men's soccer action Wednesday night at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex. With the draw Catawba moves to 4-9-2 on the year and 1-6-2 in the South Atlantic Conference. Lenoir-Rhyne now stands at 5-6-3 and 5-3-1.
Lenoir-Rhyne held a 25-10 shot advantage over the Indians but only four shots landed on goal. Catawba tallied three shots in goal on the night. Catawba goalie, Chrisitan Watts played all 110 minutes in the match with four recorded saves. The Bears split net duties between Zach King and Jorge Hernandez. King made one save and Hernandez saved the other two.
The Indians look forward to host South Atlantic Conference foe, Lincoln Memorial Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. The match will be held at Catawba College's Frock Field.
