Lady Indians Earn NSCAA Team Academic Award for Second Straight Year
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Catawba College women's soccer team was recognized on Monday with the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year. The award marks the second consecutive year the Lady Indians have received this honor.
Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Mo., the National Soccer Coaches Association of America has grown into the world’s largest soccer coaches’ organization that serves members at every level of the game.
The NSCAA works every day to inspire coaches and ignite their passion for the game so they pass it on to players and others in the soccer community. We fulfill that goal through three core values: “Learn. Participate. Belong.”
For a team to be considered for the NSCAA Team Academic Award, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appear on the official NCAA, NAIA or junior college roster forms for the fall season.
All players on the roster must be included in the calculation of the team GPA, and the nomination form must be signed by a college or university official.
