Indians Fall 2-1 in Overtime to Queens
SALISBURY, N.C. -- The Catawba College men's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime loss to Queens University in South Atlantic Conference action Wednesday night at Frock Field. The lone goal came in the 95th minute of the first overtime period by Queens' Corey Brown. Each team moves to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in conference.
Catawba tallied the first goal of the match after senior Kenny Bonilla earned a penalty kick in the 38th minute. Phillip Hollenhorst took the kick for the Indians and converted his second penalty kick in as many weeks.
Queens' Isaac Walker converted the tying goal in the 44th minute of play to send the game into overtime.
Catawba will look to bounce back when they take on Carson Newman Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
