Brus Notches Three Wins in Swim Action at Limestone


GAFFNEY, S.C. -- Catawba got three individual wins from Dominik Brus in swim action on Saturday afternoon at Limestone's Timkin Center.  The men fell to the Saints 136-105, while the women lost 126.5-90.5.  For the women, Marcia-Mariel Erhart and Nadine Brockmann each had two wins.

Brus picked up wins in the 100 back (52.37), 200 back (1:54.67) and the 100 fly (53.21).  Also winning for the men was Aly Hegazi in the 500 free (4:49.46) and Rafal Baran in the 400 IM (4:17.75).

Erhart had a near school record swim in winning the women's 1000 free.  She posted a time of 10:37.04 which was third best all-time and around two seconds off the school mark.  She also touched first in the 400 IM (4:41.18) in the eighth best time in school history.

Brockmann claimed wins in the 200 free (1:57.20) and the 500 free (5:20.72).  Jess Daniel picked a win in the 100 fly (1:03.02).  Both men's and women's teams claimed victories in the 200 free relay.

Catawba will be back in action on the weekend of Nov. 6-7 in the Quad Meet.  Friday's action will take place at Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, N.C., while Saturday's events will take place in Limestone's Timkin Center.
