Two honored by SAC in Women's Tennis

Two Catawba women’s tennis players, juniors Amy Behrman (Daleville, IN) and Shelley Gordon (Mutare, ZIMBABWE), received all-conference honors from the South Atlantic Conference. Behrman was honored for the third year, while Gordon was selected for the second time. Behrman repeated as a first team selection and was named second team as a freshman. Gordon, a second team performer, was also named second team in 2001 as a freshman. This season, Behrman played #1 for the Lady Indians and compiled a 6-13 record, including a pair of wins in league matches. She also played #1 doubles and was 8-12. She stands fourth all-time with 44 doubles wins. Gordon saw action mainly at #5 singles and posted a 13-5 mark and was 5-1 in SAC matches. At #2 doubles, she was 12-8.
