Clayton sets records in Women's Soccer shutout

MARS HILL, NC -- Catawba posted its sixth straight shutout as the Lady Indians defeated host Mars Hill 1-0 in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. Catawba improves to 7-2-1 overall and 5-0 in the SAC with a seventh straight win. Mars Hill falls to 3-9 and 0-4. Catawba scored just 2:47 into the match on a goal by Erin Drickey (Alexandria, VA). Jamie Fink (Woodbridge, VA) assisted on the goal. Lady Indian keeper Kim Clayton (Haw River, NC) made seven saves in recording her sixth consecutive shutout, breaking her old record of five. She has also broken her own school record by not allowing a goal over the last 571 minutes.
