Moore's 82 Leads Women's Golf on Day Two of SAC Championships
MONROE, N.C. -- After two rounds oft the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championships, Victoria Hedrick (Lexington, N.C./C. Davidson) sits in 15th place, while Madison Moore (Westfield, N.C./E. Surry) is in 27th. The final round of the championship will be on Tuesday at the 5,881-yard, par-72 Monroe Country Club.
Moore carded the best round of the Catawba duo in the championships with an 82 on Monday. Moore again had a solid first nine with three bogeys and six pars. She put two more pars on the card on the last nine with seven bogeys. Moore has a two-round total of 165.
Hedrick posted 11 pars on her card in round two, but had a tough finish to the opening nine with a quadruple bogey nine on the par-5 ninth. Her 83 also included five bogeys and one double bogey. Hedrick has a two-round score of 161.
Newberry's Nabila Inak took over the top individual spot after a one-under-par 71 on Monday. Here two-round total of 147 is one better than Grace Glaze, of Queens, who had an even-par 72 in round two. Queens moved into the team lead with a score of 305 Monday. The Royals' 625 total is six shots clear of Carson-Newman.
