Tennis Teams Picked Ninth And Tenth in SAC Preseason Polls

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) -- The South Atlantic Conference released its preseason tennis polls on Monday.  The Catawba men were picked ninth and the women 10th. 

Wingate and Queens earned an equal number of first place votes in both polls.  Wingate edged Queens by a single point in the women’s poll, while Queens topped Wingate in the men’s poll by 10 points.

The 2016 South Atlantic Conference tennis season gets underway on Feb. 1.  The Catawba men and women open at home on Feb. 5, taking on Emmanuel at 1 pm at the Johnson Tennis Center.  The 2017 SAC Championships are slated for April 20-22 in Rock Hill, SC.
