SALISBURY, N.C. -- Catawba held off a UNC Pembroke rally to claim a 15-11 win in a baseball game stopped in the seventh inning due to lightning and rain. The Catawba Indians, ranked 21st in NCAA II, complete a perfect nine game home stand to improve to 11-3. The Braves fall to 12-3.
Catawba bolted to a 10-1 lead after two innings then saw the Braves pull within 13-11 after the top of the seventh. The Indians scored twice in the bottom half and had the bases loaded with one out when the game was stopped.
