Rowan) singled with two outs in the third and Malachi Hanes (Charlotte, N.C./Butler) walked with two outs in the fourth.
The Indians went down in order over the next three innings before Mike Manoogian (Concord, N.H./Concord/LaSalle) walked in the eighth. Catawba did finally get multiple runners on in the ninth. Zach Queen (Charlotte, N.C./Lake Norman Charter) was hit by a pitch to start the inning and Bryce Fowler (Greenwood, S.C./Greenwood/Presbyterian) singled with one out.
