Women's Soccer Moves to 3-0 in SAC With Win at Coker

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Catawba took a 3-0 win at Coker in South Atlantic Conference women’s soccer action on Saturday afternoon at the Coker Athletic Field. Catawba moved to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the SAC. Coker falls to 1-5-1 and 0-3 in the SAC.

Abbie Bensted started the scoring in the 16th minute with assist from Logan Sandate. This would be the only score in the first half.  The Lady Indians increased the lead further by Erin Feldman in the 58th minute with an unassisted tally.

The Lady Indians moved up 3-0 in the 82nd minute from Sandate, scoring off a deflection from an initial save.

Shelby Thompson made two saves in posting the win for the Lady Indians. Samantha Hoffman made 11 saves for Coker. 

Catawba is back in action on Wednesday as the Lady Indians host USC Aiken kick off at 5 pm.
