Women's Swimming Take First at Converse Invite
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Catawba scored 582 points over the weekend to claim first place at the Converse Invite. Chowan was second to the Catawba Indians with 477 points with Brenau (406) third.
Taylor Fair swam to a pair of individual wins and was part of the winning 400 medley relay team. Fair claimed wins in the 400IM and the 200IM. She was second in the 200 breast and third in the 100 breast.
Kristina Rogge took top swims in the 100 and 200 breast for the Lady Indians. She was second in the 200 IM and also helped the 200 free relay team to a second place spot. Also on that relay was Lea Hartwig, who would swim to second place individual finishes in the 200 free, 500 free and 100 free.
Catawba will swim in its home opener on Oct. 20 against UNC Wilmington with a meet that begins at 2 pm.
